Royal LePage 100 years!
Royal LePage marks its 100th year. The official 100-year anniversary is July 2, 2013. To commemorate Royal LePage’s 100-years, it has launched the 100 Years of Helping You Home campaign. A series of celebrations and special initiatives are planned in 2013.
Be sure not to miss the new contest! The contest runs until June 12, 2013 and you have a chance to win $5,000!! Just visit and “LIKE” the Royal LePage Canada Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/royallepage click on the 100th Birthday Cake-Eating Contest icon and follow the on-screen prompts to allow access and basic permission to the game application.
After completing your Facebook Account login and allowing basic permission to the game application, follow the on-screen instructions to play the 100th Birthday Cake-Eating Game by eating a three-layered virtual birthday cake in the shortest amount of time. The game is complete when the final bite of the third layer of the cake is finished.
Once you have completed a game, click on the “Submit” button to complete a Contest Registration Form and receive one (1) entry into the Contest Grand Prize Draw (the “Entry”). Each entrant is permitted to play the game as many times as they like during the Contest Period to try and improve their score. However, each entrant is permitted one (1) entry only per week, as defined below, and no more than a total of six (6) Entries into the Contest Grand Prize Draw.
The one (1) Grand Prize consists of a cash Prize of a one-time payment of $5,000.00 CAD. The Grand Prize winner will be selected by way of a Random Draw from all eligible Contest Entries received before the end of the Contest Period on June 12, 2013 at 11:59 a.m. ET.

Our Natural Neighbours: Species at Risk in the Biosphere
Species need your help! In this program you’ll team up to race through a scavenger hunt, play some group games and get your creative and crafty juices flowing, all while learning about the species that are at risk in our area (and how to help them out!)
It all takes place this Sat May 4, 2013 - 9 am to 12 pm at the Museum on Tower Hill in Parry Sound

What’s Happening?
People across Canada will gather pledges and hike to raise public awareness for hospice palliative care. This major fundraising initiative will help advance the hospice palliative care services in your local community. Form a team and hike with friends, family or coworkers. Simply designate a team captain, choose a team name and together have a ton of fun.
Every community across Canada will be participating in the
National Hike for Hospice which will be held on Sunday, May 5th, 2013.

All of the downtown stores and restaurants will be offering special promotions that day in support of the event.

Georgian Bay Walk, Run, Pole
On Sunday May 26th West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation will be hosting an event to help buy a new Telemetry System for monitoring cardiac patients. The current system can no longer be updated so, with the help of the community, they are putting funds aside to buy a new $80,000 system.
