There are many reasons to Donate to a local charity or club.
In Parry Sound you can volunteer in many groups and organizations, there is just as much a need of your time as is a need for money.
Donating is more than a financial infusion. It’s spreading the word to others to gather gently used winter coats, boots or hats. It’s a purse filled with a few necessary items for the Women’s Shelter Esprit Place. Buying extra food for the Salvation Army food drive. Spending time with a senior. Donating your blood. Volunteering your time to collect and distribute.
Why is this important to do? For a number of reasons
1) It makes you feel great! You may have had a bad year or not feeling so great. By helping someone else it gives you great pleasure and makes you happy. It truly feels better to give then receive.
2) You are setting an example for your children. Having a private conversation with your family about the benefits of helping others in need opens their eyes to what really happens in this big wide world. Donating can be a family tradition of generosity and community pride.
3) You are making a difference – the impact of your donation is making a difference in the Parry Sound Community.
