Learn to Live Local at an Airbnb?

Have you heard about Airbnb?  Have you ever stayed at an Airbnb?

Airbnb has revolutionized traveling for people all over the world and it’s given homeowners a way to earn extra income.

You can rent a place to stay through Airbnb, or you can rent out your own home.

A great way to make some extra money, if you don’t mind strangers in your home!

It’s cheaper than booking at a hotel and you usually get more space.

Some people find travelling this way gives them the chance to live locally.

Audrey, a travel blogger and YouTuber loves Airbnb:

I have now been using Airbnb for over two years and it is one of my favourite ways to book accommodations in a city. Over the past 2 years of travel, we’ve stayed in some really memorable properties like a cool loft in Chicago, a rustic apartment in one of Berlin’s hippest neighbourhoods, a massive flat in Istanbul, and many more. You can find some really unique listings. I really like the ‘AirBnB Picks’ tab because it allows you to discover some truly unique accommodations. How about sleeping in a lighthouse, or a wagon? A castle, or a shipping container? A yurt, or a yacht? None of those sound good to you? They also have treehouses and windmills, retro trailers and houseboats, geodesic domes and homes of famous authors.

When searching for a place to stay you can search for a host which allows pets.

Also, you can have access to a kitchen. Cheaper than eating out every day!

One benefit of using Airbnb is the cost. You can find an inexpensive place to stay.

If you are searching, always check the reviews on those who have stayed in the room.

Money is not exchanged in person. Guests pay for everything right on the Airbnb site.

Tanisha shared her experience with Airbnb:

Some feel staying at an Airbnb is not as safe as booking through a hotel. But for me it’s always been a positive experience. I found I could contact the host easily. I’ve booked with Airbnb as far as the United Kingdom. You can read the reviews which are accurate. Each place I stayed was very clean and well maintained. It’s like staying at a hotel but with the comforts of home. The added benefit is your host knows the local area and will have suggestions of fun things to do and will give you their local restaurant recommendations.
